Catarina is originally from Lisbon, Portugal, and has lived in Amsterdam since 2019.
​
Her journey into the healing arts began in 2013 in Granada, Spain, where she felt a deep calling to learn about the human body and holistic ways to support both herself and others. Transitioning from contemporary jewelry to bodywork, Catarina started her studies with Swedish Massage and Manual Lymphatic Drainage at the ESEN School.
​
Since then, she has trained in a variety of techniques, including Neuromuscular Massage in Madrid with Julio Alonso, Craniosacral Therapy at the Upledger Institute in Lisbon, and Visionary Craniosacral with Hugh Milne in Hamburg.
In 2020, a deep personal transformation led Catarina to deepen her focus on supporting women, especially during pregnancy and childbirth. She was drawn to the work of Rachelle Seliga and joined the INNATE Traditions cohort, specializing in early postpartum care.This training opened her eyes to how modern society often neglects the needs of mothers and babies, especially during such a vulnerable time in a woman's life and how to reverse this situation by supporting women's from their physiological needs.

Catarina’s mentor, Silvia Urbani, continues to guide her work in prenatal and perinatal somatic psychology, biodynamic craniosacral therapy the somatics of the feminine and spirituality.
​
Over the past few years, Catarina has deepened her knowledge by studying traditional Placenta wisdom and postpartum practices from Colombia and Mexico, with traditional midwife Laura Torres.
She also trained in Holistic Pelvic Care with Tami Lynn Kent and Lynn Schulte, and explored nervous system regulation and embodiment with Kimberly Ann Johnson.

Fascinated by the depths of the soul, Catarina has learned about emotional intelligence with Donna Maria Camps, grief with Frances Weller, and bereavement support with Amy Wright Glenn.
​
She is currently training in Prenatal and Perinatal Psychology at APPPAH and understanding more about Prenatal Bonding.
​
Catarina is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, and English.
